How can I ensure students will achieve the learning objectives when creating their student projects? Each student will dictate their fact about the leader to an adult in our classroom. Re-teaching/redirection can occur at this time if necessary.

Creating the sample really does help clarify the process, doesn't it? Have you thought about doing a movie, having the students color a picture of their person or find it on the internet, then recording their fact into the frame, and create a final project that way?
