How can I help my students become self-directed learners?
If I provide the students will the resources they need and then encourage them to work through challenging problems I will start them in the direction of becoming self-directed learners.
How can I support the diverse needs of learners?
By being aware of my students needs and using all the resource people that are available I should be able to meet their needs.

Your students will be on their way to becoming self-directed learners. They also become more self-directed when you provide choices for them in their work.
Supporting the diverse needs of all students is a huge challenge for teachers. Keeping in mind learning styles, interests and abilities, teachers can offer choices and adaptations so that all students have the opportunity to learn.
