How do I involve students in the assessment process? Students are given many opportunities to show what they know. I try to give them a variety of ways to demonstrate the learned material.

At your grade level, that would be expected. I am sure you also assess them in the conversations you have with them.
Variety is important in the assessment process. That way every child can show you what they know in a way that is comfortable for them.
